Recently, while traveling to the ISWA Folkstyle State Wrestling Tournament with my son, I captured a couple of video clips with my BlackBerry phone showing the IP and gages of the Suburban.  We had our 32’ Wilderness Travel Trailer in tow at 72 mph heading northbound on
I-69 in Indiana.

The first video clip was taken while traveling on level ground.  The video is fuzzy, but it shows that boost pressure is running around 22—23 psi and EGT is running around 750 F pre-turbo.  Still shots of the IP and gages are shown at the right for reference.

The second clip was taken while rolling into a grade.  Boost rises to 25 psi and EGT tops out at around 900 F pre-turbo.

Some have said that this turbo “might be good for drag racing, but not for towing.”  Hopefully, these short videos will prove otherwise...
